What I can see

The sculptor Anastasios Giokas created the bronze bust of the actress Elli Lampeti (1926-1983), placed on a marble base. Lampeti is rendered with an expression of gentleness and modesty, as she was in reality. The sculpture has been vandalized several times.

What I can't see

She was among the most important Greek actresses of theatre and cinema. Highlights of her career were her performances in The Glass World, Antigone, A Streetcar Named Desire, Sarah – Children of a Lesser God and in the film The Last Lie for which she was nominated for Best Actress at the BAFTA Awards (British Academy of Film and Television Arts).
