What I can see
This building is of the Ottoman period. When it came into the ownership of George Finlay, it was rebuilt and got a new architectural style. It is now considered a sample of early classicism. We can say that this building symbolizes the transition from the Ottoman years to modern Greece and its connection with its ancient past.
What I can't see
George Finlay was a Scottish historian who took part in the Greek Revolution. About a century and a half later, the singer Sotiria Bellou also stayed here.
