It is a three-level station and the dominant colour is red. The platform level architecturally resembles stations of the same line that were built around the same period, such as Alimos, Ilioupoli, Argyroupoli and Elliniko. The ticket level is spacious and sunlit. The tall red columns and special lighting make the station different from the rest and they are also an attempt the station to be given monumental character. In the context of this monumental attempt and in an effort to create futuristic scenery, the volumes create a pompous result. The radial steel structure under the dome and the circular aluminum-clad balcony, intersected by the escalators and surrounded by semi-circular staircases, have caused mixed feelings.
“Peristeri” station, together with the stations of Agios Antonios and Anthoupoli, decongested Peristeri, which is the largest and most populous municipality of the city.
