What I can see
The Lapathiotis house is a two-storey neoclassical building with a semi-basement; it has a tripartite structure on the facade, a pediment, marble corbells, ornate decorations over the windows, and a patio (traditional Athenian element), loggia and external staircase. Unfortunately today the building is in a terrible condition.
What I can't see
This was the home of the neo-romantic poet Napoleon Lapathiotis, in which he wrote most of his work and committed suicide during the German occupation. Although his work is very interesting and non-conformist for the time, he is best known for his personal life. The son of a militant, Napoleon Lapathiotis had openly declared his homosexuality during a very conservative era and had a very intense erotic life; his later drug addictions led him to an economic and personal collapse.
