Although the German Embassy is housed in a contemproary building, it is of a modernist logic, which nevertheless has some classicist elements, such as the symmetry of the openings, their decoration, and the use of white Dionysos marble, with which the facade has been clad. The corner of the building is quite characteristic. It is structured by 4 edges (two of which are internal), an orthogonal skeleton and glass, while on the sides of the two external edges there are relief symbolic numbers, multiples and divisors of 3 in numbers and in Greek numerals. Finally, a golden sphere is placed at the top of this enclosed corner.
It was built on the site of a previous building, which was deemed unsuitable after the 1981 earthquake. The study of the newer building was conducted by the Pagonis-Polychronopoulos-Kinatos office.
