Apartment building of interwar period opposite of Kolonaki Square.

This apartment building is a very typical example of the combining spirit of newer and older architectural forms, as it is a modernist building with eclectic elements. The strict lines of modernism are “broken” by the curved corner and the curved ercker (projection in relation to the surface of the facade) on one of the two facades.
We do not know who the architect was. In the past, the ground floor housed the Evangelistria fish shop. A long-time resident of Kolonaki had said in an interview: “Some people said that in one of the windows (of the building) the image of the Virgin Mary appeared. The news was spread by word of mouth and for a long time the sidewalks were filled with people who came to see the… miracle. I, however, did not manage to see it”.

1931 There is reference as this year being the beginning of its construction and 1937 the year of its completion. However, other literature sources place its construction during the 1920s.
