What I can see
Right next to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Park is the Kallithea Municipal Park. The two parks create a – very useful for the area – green and sports “unity”. The municipal park has an area of approximately 33,700 sq.m., is planted with Mediterranean plants (like the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Park), has modern equipment and spaces and includes a swimming pool, a football pitch, open gyms, relaxation and green spaces, a track and offices.
What I can't see
Just like the nearby park, this one was also designed by Renzo Piano’s office. In the future, these parks will be united with the Kallithea beach park, which is under construction and in combination with the Paleo Faliro Sports Centre and Flisvos, an enormous urban green space will be created.
