This contemporary building has a total area of 21,620m2, is developed in 4 basements and 3 floors and has been constructed on a plot of 5,600m2. Two elongated parallel wings are connected by transverse bridges on each floor. The atrium is covered by a single metal roof system, which has a skylight with integrated blinds. This allows the flow of natural light and air, without solar radiation exceeding the desired levels, especially during summer months. In addition, the facade of the independent angular building is covered with glass curtains, thus shaping the final facade of the complex towards Athinon Avenue. The artificial lighting is well studied (by Dr. Georgios Fatseas) and gives the impression of a semi-permeable boundary between the interior and exterior of the building.
It has been designed by Alexandros Tombazis and his team and houses the administrative services of a bank. It is designed to be energy efficient and functional at the same time, which is why it is considered one of the city’s successful examples of contemporary architecture.
