The church of Agios Haralambos is cruciform, with a dome and a perimeter arcade, the roof of which is impressively decorated. The architecture of the church is a very interesting combination of neo-Byzantinism and modernism. The abstract approach to the neo-Byzantine elements, the interesting volumes, the openings and skylights, in which geometry is combined with the Byzantine style arches, but also the discreet approaches to the most obvious neo-Byzantine features (e.g. capitals on the beams, seals) compose a harmonious whole. Equally interesting is the bell tower, which has clean lines and its proportional size to the church, makes it a part of it.
It is not known who designed it, but it is one of the extremely rare cases in which modern Greek-Orthodox architecture dared to move forward and deviate from the current trend of bad and maximalist version of neo-Byzantinism. With this church, as with a few other similar examples, it is proven that Byzantinism can approach the architectural trends of the modern era.
