The “unexplored land” as the “terra incognita” is translated, was -until recently- an active squat of members coming from the antiauthoritarian movement and one of the oldest in the city. The building is the property of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
In the first issue of the squat’s magazine the intentions of its members are clearly stated:
“We do not beg for our lives, nor do we obey the dictates and the fancy garbage that society offers us. We take back little of what belongs to us. Everything that all kinds of rulers, bosses, the state, merchants, pimps and owners deprived us of. The empty houses belong to those who need them and use them.”
