Dimitriadis mansion was and remains a residential building and houses a restaurant on the ground floor. It consists of 6 floors, with the last two having different axes and decoration. It is an eclectic building with columns of Corinthian order, lion-headed and floral gobbles and arches on the tower-like projecting edges. Its ornate balustrades are built on the lower floors and they are metal on the upper ones. The higher the floor, the lighter the materials used. At the entrance of the building, there is an engraved marble plate with the name of Ioannis Dimitriadis, who was – most likely – the owner.
Scenes from Theodoros Angelopoulos’ film “An eternity and a day” were filmed in this building, for which he won the Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1997.
