Votanikos
Votanikos is a western district of the centre of Athens, which took its name from the old botanical garden.

What I can see
Votanikos district is the area between the railway tracks and the Agricultural University. On the north side of the district, from Iera Odos, to Athinon Avenue, we find several interesting restaurants that perfectly marry combine tradition with modern cuisine. Most of them can be found around the church of Prophet Daniel, on the pedestrian road of Pellis Street and Kassandras Street. It is often very hard to find a table. They have justifiably become extremely popular businesses. The products of excellent quality combined with good prices and the good atmosphere from businessmen and staff, attract more and more young Athenians and visitors.
What I can't see
Votanikos is a western district of the centre of Athens, which has always had a popular- labour profile. During the 20th century, workers lived here and most business premises were workshops. In recent years, Votanikos began to attract more visitors. Several mild entertainment premises, restaurants and some cultural venues have greatly enhanced the mobility and – by extension – the reputation of Votanikos as an up-and-coming area.
