What I can see

The “Panepistimio” metro station is one of the busiest of the network, as it serves many students of the Aristotle University and the University of Macedonia. Architecturally, is not significantly different from the other stations. The colours that have been chosen are earthy and refer to the Byzantine heritage of the city.

What I can't see

In the circular room, where the station entrances meet, passengers experience a sound trick, imitating the central room of the “Elaionas” metro station in Athens. When someone stands in the centre and talks, they can hear themselves from the speakers of the room. A similar sound trick is also found in a space of the Athens Concert Hall.
