What I can see

This is the first bioclimatic business park in northern Greece and already houses local and multinational companies and financial institutions, while it aspires to attract more. 4 buildings with a total area of 31,000sqm are developed on a plot of 7,704sqm. The arched arcades, combined with the colours of the complex, are a reference to the Byzantine past of the city. Furthermore, the rows of bricks of various sizes, some in projection, is a reference to the industrial past of the area and the play of light and shadow gives life to the buildings. The atrium is a meeting place for the employees and Mediterranean plants have been planted in the curved flower beds.

What I can't see

The complex was designed by Divercity Architects and has already received LEED Gold certification. Other bioclimatic features include rainwater collection tanks for watering plants, recyclable building materials, special lighting against light pollution, water-saving faucets and special detectors that reduce lighting and air conditioning consumption. Also, actions were taken to protect workers during construction, such as the immediate removal of construction site dust so that they do not inhale it. The complex’s real estate company (Dimand) is implementing a study for the construction of a bike path in the area.
