Mitropoleos is a linear street, approximately 1.5 km long. It starts from Ladadika area and ends at Ethnikis Amynis Street. Along this route, one can admire important buildings of the city and passes through its most important squares, Eleftherias Square and Aristotelous Square. At the crossroad with Kouskoura Street, restaurants and street food shops are dominant. This is not something new. There have been restaurants of this type for a long time, such as the historic “Orea”.
It is a street that was once considered the most expensive in the city, with famous fashion houses and other expensive shops, mainly towards Pavlou Mela Street. Although there are still some expensive shops, the economic crisis had a clear impact and the street no longer has the same reputation.
