What I can see

It is an example displaying the authentic expression of the Central European modern movement. It consists of ground floor, 4 floors and a roof chamber. Each floor has a four-room apartment. It is a building with simple volumes, with the vertical dimension emphasized by the narrow line of the opening of the staircase and the entrance at the façade of Vasilissis Sofias Avenue, while the facade of Lampsakou Street is composed by the elongated balconies. One innovation of the building is the omission of the Erker (protruding volume from the level of the facade). Another is the fact that the main facade is not on the main street (Vasilissis Sofias Av.), but on Lampsakou Street, which gives it a better orientation and a view of the Acropolis.

What I can't see

It was designed by Georgios Kontoleon and financed by a group of friends, including the architect. In the 1930s, the influences of modernism began to become apparent, moving away from the strong decoration of neoclassicism and eclecticism and applying a simplified version of these styles. This building, however, is not a simplified version of previous styles, but a pioneering modern building of that time.
