Athinon Theatre

Athinon Theatre is one of the oldest theatres in the city.

    1930 Beginning of construction.

    1933 Completion.

What I can see

It is considered a building of neo-academic eclecticism with influences from Art Nouveau and the Otto Wagner school of Vienna.

What I can't see

It was designed by Vassilios Tsagris and housed the Athinon Theatre from the beginning, which also included a cabaret stage. In addition, it housed the Vretania Theatre, which initially operated as a cinema.
