What I can see

This residence is one of the few examples of local traditional architecture before the dominance of neoclassicism in 19th-century Athens. It is a two-storey building with an arched entrance and a wooden balcony, has correct proportions and rhythmicity in its openings.

What I can't see

It is one of the first private buildings in Athens of the first years of independent Greece. It was the residence of Ioannis and Marigo Hatzikyriakos, founders of the well-known Hatzikyriakio Girls’ Orphanage in Piraeus. It has been designated a work of art and a historical monument. The enclosed courtyard is decorated with sculptures by Thomas Thomopoulos.
