What I can see
This luxurious apartment building is a rare example of interwar buildings, where strong neoclassical features are sustained. The architect harmonized neoclassicism with the new functional needs and construction trends; therefore he expressed the so-called “rationalist purification” of neoclassicism, without the building losing its neoclassical aesthetics. An architectural characteristic that refers to the design’s “Greekness” is the marble cladding.
What I can't see
It was designed by Vassilios Kouremenos, who was a graduate of the French Ecole des Beaux-Arts.
