What I can see
On the blind side of a ten-story hotel, we see a mural inspired by “Praying Hands”, a work of the German painter Albrecht Dürer. The difference here is that the hands are turned upside-down, i.e. the prayer turns to the man and the city. Hence the title of the project is “Praying for us”.
What I can't see
The project is inspired by then-student of the School of Fine Arts, Pavlos Tsakonas, and realised by the painters Manolis Anastasakos and Kretsis brothers. It is the first mural by the initiative of the Ministry of the Environment, and it is part of the centre’s beautification projects.
