What I can see
Although it is an archaeological institute, its activity is not limited only to ancient Greek culture, but also to modern. It collaborates with the Greek Ministry of Culture, which grants permits for research and excavations by Australian researchers-archaeologists. It also holds various happenings throughout the year, such as lectures, exhibitions and other cultural events.
What I can't see
The purpose of the institute is the research, development and promotion of intellectuals and students of Hellenic studies, both inside and outside Greece. The institute is headquartered at the Vere Gordon Childe Centre at the University of Sydney.
