What I can see

Most of the Navarinou Square’s blocks of flats date from the second half of the 20th century, especially from the 1960s to the 1990s. Some of them retain a more simplified version of local architectural elements (e.g. curved balconies, symmetry).

What I can't see

On Dimitriou Gounari Street, we see many of the blocks of flats that mark the transition from luxurious mansions to the years of blocks of flats and urbanization, the transition from East to West and from tradition to modernization. The blocks of flats in Navarinou Square are works of these already established transitions, at a time when this type of buildings was already the norm and not the exception. This is a possible explanation why morphological strictness is not evident, as the emphasis was now on the quantity and not on the architectural quality of the buildings.
