What I can see

It is considered an interesting example of contemporary urban architecture. Its arrays of rectangular openings and stripes emphasize both the vertical and horizontal axes. It is governed by symmetry and its proportions are harmonious. It is totally covered with Skra marble slabs and is one of the “smartest” buildings in the country, thanks to the quality of construction, the flexibility of its systems and networks and the central management system BMS. In the surrounding area, a part of the city’s eastern Byzantine walls was also highlighted.

What I can't see

It is the building of the former Bank of Macedonia-Thrace. It was designed by Evangelos Kouvatsis, Anastasia Lada, Konstantinos Lefakis, Petros Makridis and Alexandros Tombazis. It has a total area of 11,200sqm, 2 basements and the 7th floor includes event and multi-purpose halls. The indoor areas are very functional, as they have movable walls and special sound curtains. Furthermore, the office spaces are open-plan and all floors are raised, so that all necessary networks pass underneath.
