What I can see
The Stoa of Agios Minas is an eclectic building, forming part of the ensemble of neighbouring buildings and has a T-shaped ground plan, with several later alterations on the first floor. The first floor’s false pillasters bear Ionic capitals, has floral decoration – particularly on the lintels – and is positioned as an architectural continuation of the adjacent building.
What I can't see
It belonged to the Greek community of the city and was built to house the Bank of the East. Later, it also housed the Anglo-Hellenic Company. On the ground floor, there were many small shops and on the first floor, there used to be offices. Most of the building survived the fire of 1917. After the fire, the ground floor shops around the church of Agios Minas, up to Vassileos Irakliou Street, were built. In bibliographic and electronic sources the address is listed as 11 Agiou Mina Street, however, according to the current numbering of the street, the address is 3 Agiou Mina Street.
