What I can see
The Mavromichalis Tower has many romantic morphological elements and is considered an eclectic building, although it has a strong neo-Gothic style, as can be seen from the arched openings and the entrance. The Neo-Gothic order was very popular in 19th century Europe, but not in Greece. This tower is a rare example for Attica and one of the few in the country.
What I can't see
The tower-like form of the building is connected to the Mani (southern Greece) origin of the owner, general Mavromichalis, as Mani is known for its towers. It was designed by the military engineer Agamemnon Pallis. Today, it belongs to the Evangelical Church, as does the neighbouring Karatzas mansion.
