What I can see
Just under the archaeological site of Ramnous, there is a beach with successive inlets and the estuary of a stream. Its total length is about 600m, and the 100m of the southern part is where most of the beach nudists-naturalists gather. The beach consists mainly of pebbles, and near the sea are the remains of the ancient port. Access to the beach from the road is very difficult as it is not paved for about 2 km and is quite dangerous to drive in many parts.
What I can't see
It is located about 60km from Athens and is a very quiet place. The name Ramnous comes from the ancient Ramnos which is a shrub species of the area, and the ancient municipality took its name from it. In this place, they honoured and worshiped Nemesis, the deity of punishment of “hubris” (arrogance). Nemesis imposed the Divine Judgment-no one escaped from her and thus she kept the balance in human life. According to legend, it was she who also punished the Persians’ arrogance because of their numerical superiority over the Greeks at the Battle of Marathon, which they eventually lost.
