What I can see

It is a building of strict geometry that symbolizes a more mature transition from classicism to modernism, without however being a bold modernist work that “rocked the boat” at the time. The facades have a strict layout and it is a building of rationalized classicism with obvious modernist influences and its decoration consists of art deco elements. Today, it houses offices and a bank.

What I can't see

It was built on the site of a previous building, which was demolished. It had arched openings and housed the historic Gamvetta cafe on the ground floor. The construction of the newer building, designed by Emmanuel Lazaridis, had caused outrage due to its size, as it was considered huge at the time.
