Historical Research Centre in Ippodromiou Square.
Modern and Contemporary era (1912 - )
1983 Founded as “Historical Archive of Thessaloniki” on July 28.
1984 Renamed into Thessaloniki History Centre.
1995 The building was inaugurated.

What I can see
It is a contemporary building with a concrete frame, granite and glass surfaces, which allows the flow of natural light. It has three floors, exhibition space, library, events space and was donated by the couple Anastasios and Ioulia Billis. At the entrance we also see the sculpture “Library” by Aristedes Patsoglou, in which human figures form the shelves of the library.
What I can't see
It is a research institute on the subject of historical research and historiography of Thessaloniki. It has historical collections and organizes exhibitions, conferences, and educational programs. Additionally, it has published both original studies and over 50 books.
