Modern and Contemporary era (1821 - )

The building was constructed in successive phases between 1870 and 1881.

1914 It housed the Ministry of National Economy.

1916 The Attikon cinema was built.

1946 The poet Paul Eluard gave a lecture.

1955 The first cinemascope screening took place.

1960 The Apollon Cinema was inaugurated. This space previously housed a department of the General State Archives.

1982 Restored.

2012 Burnt on February 12.
