This commercial building is located at Athens International Airport. The façade emphasises its marketability, but architecturally it is distinct from the rest, resulting in a different version of the “big box”. It has a triangular plan, a gallery with large letters of the store’s name, a huge opening in the interior, which ensures natural lighting, and folds of the corrugated metal sheet on the southern sides. The elevated entrance on the north side gives an overview of the interior of the shopping centre. The interior stretches on the ground floor and the attic for a total area of 12,000 sq.m. The ground floor is organised into two pathways, one arcuate curve and a helical zigzag.
The building was designed by AETER Architects group, the architect Harry K. Bougadellis and colleagues.
