What I can see
It is a building that stands out for its volume and imposingness. It has an archaistic style with large columns of Corinthian order on the facades, many neoclassical and modern elements and exudes monumentality. It consists of reinforced concrete and has underground vaults.
What I can't see
The size and style of the building is due to a building program of the interwar period, which included a building complex of the Bank of Greece in the area. Nikolaos Zoumboulidis was in charge of the design of these buildings. This particular building was designed by Alexandros Nikoloudis and Sotiris Magiasis. Initially, it was built as a central branch of the National Bank of Greece and a branch of the Bank of Greece. After the war, half remained the property of the Bank of Greece and the other half housed the Marine Veteran’s Fund.
