What I can see

The Municipal Picture Gallery of Piraeus is housed in the renovated old post office. It is a neoclassical building with arched openings on the ground floor and at the ends of the first floor. The facade is divided into 5 vertical sections, the entrance has a slight projection, which continues on the corresponding part of the floor and is crowned with a pediment. The art gallery also includes the Painting and Scenography Museum of Panos Aravantinos. Its collections include works by Nikolaos and Pericles Lytras, Konstantinos Maleas, Konstantinos Romanidis, Michael Oikonomou, Alexandros Christofis, Stamatis Lazarou, Kyriakos Tsakiris and younger artists. Also sculptures, models, costume designs, posters and photographs are exhibited, while there is a collection of personal items of the actor Manos Katrakis.

What I can't see

The art gallery was initially hosted in the rooms of the Municipal Theatre of Piraeus and later, some paintings and sculptures, were placed in the then new town hall.
