What I can see
A museum that is not well known, but is certainly important, is the Museum of Palaeontology and Geology of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. It includes important collections of vertebrate and invertebrate animals, phytological fossils, and paleontological and geological samples from all over Greece and abroad. Dinosaur bones and teeth, a turtle, the elephant dwarf of Tilos, and the dwarf hippo of Cyprus are rather impressive.
What I can't see
It belongs to the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment of the University of Athens and participates in scientific research and excavations throughout the country. Equally important is the annex of the museum in Lesvos. Also, it is worth seeing the preservation of the findings by the museum’s workshop.
