What I can see
This 700m long and 95m high hill offers a very beautiful view. We can admire the view of the Saronic Gulf, its islands, the mountains of Peloponnese, the Athens coastline, Piraeus, Hymettus, the Acropolis, the hills of Athens and the former airport of Elliniko, which is being transformed into a new urban district with a metropolitan park.
What I can't see
Antiquities from the prehistoric period to classical antiquity have been found on the hill. During prehistoric times, there was a settlement that had developed trade with the Aegean islands and mostly with Milos. The hill has come under huge residential pressures and maintaining it as a public green space has been a difficult task, starting from the late 1990s. The hill is often abandoned; the residents however, are quite sensitive about its protection.
