During the first years of independent Greece and the reign of Otto, here was built the house of Loukas Pyrros. Then, it was demolished and the neoclassical building we see today was built.
What I can't see
This newer building, together with the adjacent one on Ermou Street (a well-known store today), were designed to include shopping galleries, according to European standards. These are the first galleries of this type in Athens.
