What I can see

This small uphill pedestrian road of Thessalonikis and Eptachalkou Streets is almost 600m long and is a characteristic example of an original Athenian landscape, even though cars are often parked illegally. Old Athenian houses, art spaces, schools, taverns, cafes and the post-Byzantine church of Agios Athanasios Kourkouris, which has been incorporated as a sanctuary into the larger later church, create a variety of activities.

What I can't see

Here are some of the oldest cafes and taverns in the city. They are visited by Athenians from all over the city, often as an alternative to modern cafes and restaurants, and to taste traditional recipes and drinks in a landscape reminiscent of old Athens.
