Olympou Street connects the Rotunda with the Agion Apostolon Church. It has some cafes, ouzo taverns and tranquil bars whose style is more alternative. They are frequented by students and this area belongs to the lesser known places for night entertainment. Some of these spaces are LGBTQI+ friendly. Furthermore, we can see architectural examples of apartment buildings of various periods and phases, on both sides of the street. The Makedoniko Mansion (1930) at number 53 and the Hasson Nahmias Residence (1928) at number 56 stand out and both are works by Georgios Manoussos. The first features many Art Deco elements, geometric lines, an erker (enclosed projection) on the side of Olympou Street and a polygonal corner with curved balconies. The second is an eclectic building, which follows the classicist base- main body- crowning arrangement on the facade, the edges of the second and third floors have small erkers and the balcony of the third floor that bears pairs of columns, is quite characteristic. The last two floors were probably built later.
The shop owners in the Rotunda area organize the annual “Olympou Street & Beer Festival”, which is a street party on Olympou Street.
