Stavroupoli Cultural Centre is a building of modern architecture on Lagkada Street.

It is a building designed by Giorgos Athanassopoulos; it consists of visible concrete, has brutalist references and different types of openings, which differ in shape and style, depending on which axis of the building they are placed on. Metal pergolas make it look more contemporary. The north side of the building is covered by a climbing plant and turns green during the summer months.
The official name of the building is “Christos Tsakiris” Cultural Centre, after the mayor of Stavroupoli for 12 years (1979-1990), an honour due to his contribution to the district. It houses a 270-seat theatre, a multi-purpose hall, the “Opsis” photography club, the municipal library, the “Iris” dance school, a philharmonic orchestra and administrative services. Moreover, the Education Festival, music concerts, events of the Thessaloniki Film Festival, the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival, lectures and various activities are held here.

1980 Construction began in the mid-80s and the theatre opened about a decade later.
2018 The theatre was renovated and is considered one of the best theatrical stages in the city.
