What I can see
This marble sculpture is a dome with Ionic peristyle, placed on an octagonal stepped pedestal, which on each side has decorative buttons and lion heads that work as fountains. The frieze has a meander relief and the sculpture is crowned with marble slabs and edge-tiles.
What I can't see
The sculpture imitates the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates and is unknown who created it and when. It is likely that it was moved from Dimopratiriou Square (Monastiraki) to Metaxourgio Square in the 1920s.
