What I can see
This wonderful sample of international broutalistic code by Dimosthenis Molfesis consists of a ground floor, two upper floors and a recessed level and is an extension of the old building. The main facade of the building is made of exposed concrete, while the design of the floors is a simple rectangular grid. Furthermore, the outer wall looks like a sculpture composition, which lends plasticity to the building.
What I can't see
The mission of the French Institute is the promotion of the French language and culture. The Institute places particular emphasis on the arts and culture (i.e. cultural exchanges, cinema, performing and plastic arts), as well as on academic knowledge (library, university exchanges, lectures, publications). On the ground floor, there is a 400-seat auditorium, while the floors above it have rooms which can be united, laboratories, offices and a dormitory.
