The Karatzas house is a building of late classicism, as it bears several eclectic elements, which are evident mainly from the decoration.
The princely Karatzas family was of Byzantine origin and centuries later, many of its members were officials of the Ottoman Empire. These days, the building belongs to the Evangelical Church.
