What I can see
Mosaico is a building with simple lines, in which shades of green are dominant and the upper floors are in successive retreat. In this way, the volume of the building gives air and lets the densely built neighbourhood with its narrow streets “breathe”. Many surfaces, both in the interior and exterior, are covered with white digits which give the impression of a mosaic waterfall. Moreover, the balustrades follow the pattern of these mosaic surfaces. The strips of the balconies on one facade are interrupted by semicircular niches within which a sculptural composition develops. Two spheres, one mosaic and one bare, look as if they are about to collide. Thus, the building acquires more plasticity and an artistic identity.
What I can't see
It was constructed by the Panos Zouganelis office, designed by Kirios Criton and operates as an apartment hotel complex. The pool on the rooftop with a view of the Acropolis is particularly impressive.
