What I can see
The headquarters of the National Gymnastics Club is located in these facilities. It is a unique experience to exercise next to the Temple of Zeus and with a full view of the Acropolis. The facilities consist of an open track, a swimming pool (out of service), indoor basketball and volleyball, a wrestling room, a weight lifting room, a gym, a fencing hall and a canteen. The club’s sports are weightlifting, basketball, swimming, fencing, modern pentathlon, wrestling, volleyball, boxing, shooting, athletics, judo, and archery.
What I can't see
At this point, the first sports city facilities were built. The club encouraged sport for women, and established child and teenage contests. Just above the club, the “Ioannis Fokianos” gym lies. It was named by its first director, who organized the races of the third and fourth Olympia Games, prepared athletes of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896 in Athens, organized Athens’ first gymnastics show, and established gymnastics as compulsory in schools by his own efforts.
