What I can see

The museum’s collections are linked to the history of the Hellenic Telecommunications Organization (OTE), through which we also see the development of Greek society. The inventions that managed to eliminate distances and make communication between people safe are exhibited here. The collections are divided into two periods: the first concerns the era before electricity, ancient Greece and Byzantium, while the second concerns the era after electricity, from the first communication devices to modern satellites. The exhibits and archival material, which are more than 4500, include 19th century manual telephones, telegraphs, the first studios of Greek television (1965), optical fibers and many more.

What I can't see

The museum is a member of ICOM, CECA and CIMUSET. Its goal is to preserve the country’s industrial and technological heritage. It also provides guided tours for students, groups and individual visitors, participates in European programs, implements educational programs and artistic activities, and collaborates with museums, research, educational and cultural institutions abroad.
