What I can see

This architecturally interesting building has a total area of 1643sqm, consists of a ground floor, 5 floors and 2 basements with parking spaces and areas for electro-mechanical installations. The bearing structure of the building is covered by wooden curtains and cast materials. On the ground floor, the public space (arcade) becomes one with the building’s private space. The facade is divided into horizontal strips, with some recessing and some projecting parts, in relation to the main surface of the facade, thus playing a game of light and shadow, both during the day and with the city lights at night. The projecting parts include Homeric words, a work by the artist Bia Davou, titled “Serial Structures.”

What I can't see

The building is divided into 3 simple prismatic volumes connected by bridges. The ingenuity of the design by the office of Alexandra Kalliri and partners lies in the inclusion of the atrium as a vital part of the building. This is the main reason why this particular project has been distinguished with several awards and nominations. This atrium enables the flow of natural light and air and the facades of the building around it are covered with glass which, in addition to the flow of natural light, also offers visual contact among the offices.
