What I can see
It was a four-storey eclectic mansion, but only its eastern wing survives, that is about 1/3 of the original building. The use of marble, its small balconies, the decorations on the openings and the cornice are some of its architectural characteristics. Moreover, it is a very functional building, considering the time it was built.
What I can't see
Along with most of the original building, the corner turret has been demolished. The mansion was designed by Ernst Ziller, and together with the Arsakeion Girls’ School on the side of Stadiou Street, he introduced big scale architecture to the city. This building was property of the banker and MP Ioannis Pesmazoglou and belonged to the category of buildings for “exploitation”, in other words, luxury apartments for rent.
