What I can see

This eclectic building by Ιoannis Μichalis Axelos, a graduate of the Ecole Royale des Beaux Arts in Brussels has a vaulted dome. It is a metal construction with a transparent roof, which is “planted” on the ground. The surrounding buildings give the impression of a market. The building was successfully renovated, both inside and externally. Damages were restored, the Art Deco items (counter, waiting bars) and old wooden frames were replaced by aluminum ones, the ceiling glass was replaced by polycarbonate material and the platforms were expanded. Additionally, the space houses stores, the Electric Railway Museum and an exhibition of paintings by students from the School of Fine Arts.

What I can't see

This building reflects the architect’s tendency to apply the standards of European railway stations of that era to his Greek works. The result is quite appealing. A plan exists to extend the structure toward the side of the suburban railway station.
