What I can see

Just before the top of Turkovounia hill and Veikou Park, we discover a rare sculptural creation lying on an old water tank. The giant sculpture has a spiral shape, a diameter of 22m and it can be clearly seen even from a satellite image. Its colours are earthy, since it is made of earthy materials, i.e. piles of stone from the same hill. Thus, the sculpture blends harmoniously into the natural landscape. The spiral symbolizes the positive energy directed from earth to the sky. Moreover, the sculpture seems to follow the mathematical Fibonacci sequence in its gaps, that is, each gap has the sum of the distances of the two previous gaps.

What I can't see

It took 3 years for the sculptor Mikaela Karagianni to finish this sculpture. The stones were transported through a path and then a crane lifted the stones on the water tank.
