What I can see
In the area of Kamariza, near Lavrio, there is a crater 55m deep and 120m in diameter. If we look at it from above, it has a heart shape. The spectacle is particularly impressive if we observe the zones of rocks inside.
What I can't see
There is a myth that it was created by a meteorite fall in the late 18th or early 19th century. Most likely, however, it was formed by the collapse of the cave roof, especially if we take into account that the area is full of underground tunnels due to the mines. Also called “Egkilon Chaos”, it is often visited by speleologists and is a popular destination for climbers.
