What I can see
Tritsis Park is one of few wildlife sanctuaries inside the city. It has an area of 115 acres with six ponds connected by an artificial canal. It also has two outdoor theatres, two churches, a Natura shop, showrooms, observatories, an equestrian centre, a cafeteria, an eco-bookstore, a library, a sports centre and a sculpture trail. It is host to a very rich flora, including 1,500 olive trees and 1,500 pine trees, 168 bird species as well as animals. It is an ideal spot for walking, cycling and jogging.
What I can't see
The park’s full name is Antonis Tritsis Park of Environmental Awareness. The land was purchased by the royal family during the reign of Otto and was used as a royal farm. Following Otto’s eviction, the farm was deserted.
